FAQs
Do you sell wholesale pottery?
No. At this time, I don’t offer wholesale pricing. The cost of materials and the time it takes to create pottery by hand makes wholesale unsustainable for my small operation.
Do you have a storefront?
No storefront here. My pottery studio lives in my home garage, and my cut flowers are grown right in my backyard. Hand & Root is very much a small, home-based operation.
Where do you sell in person?
In 2026, you can find me at:
- Turner Angus Farm
- Veterans Plaza in Munford during farmers market days
- Hopefully The Rhodes House markets as well
Do you accept custom pottery orders or requests?
No. I don’t offer custom or made-to-order pottery.
When will flowers be available?
Bouquets should be available starting in late April, depending on the season and weather. Follow along on social media for updates as the growing season approaches. My growing season ends late October.
What about shipping pottery?
I reuse and recycle packaging whenever possible to reduce environmental impact, but pottery is always packaged with extreme care. Orders typically ship within 48 hours.
How do I get a bouquet for a special occasion?
Please reach out at least 5 days in advance of the date you need a bouquet. Availability depends on what’s blooming at the time.
Do you have any tips for keeping blooms fresh?
- WASH YOUR VASE & FILL WITH FRESH WATER
- REMOVE ANY FOLIAGE THAT WILL SIT BELOW THE WATER LINE
- TRIM 1/2 AN INCH FROM THE STEMS; CUTTING AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE
- REPLACE THE WATER EVERY 2-3 DAYS OR SOONER
- SOME FLOWERS WILL LAST LONGER THAN OTHERS. REMOVE BLOOMS AS THEY ARE SPENT. KEEP AWAY FROM FRUIT AND DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
- DAHLIAS AVERAGE 3-5 DAYS. LISIANTHUS CAN LAST UP TO 2 WEEKS.
- ZINNIAS AND SUNFLOWERS ARE KNOWN AS "DIRTY FLOWERS" MEANING THEY WILL DIRTY UP WATER FASTER THAN OTHER FLOWERS
Can I put pottery in the dishwasher or microwave?
Yes! Most of my items can be put in the microwave or dishwasher. Exceptions would be any item that has gold details. It is actual 24k gold and should not be put in the microwave. Handwashing can help prevent any degradation of 24k gold on your pieces as well.
